Legal Notice and Disclaimers
GROUND & GROWTH PLLC
Effective Date: October 20, 2026 | Last Updated: October 20, 2026
Important: This Legal Notice governs the public informational use of the Ground & Growth PLLC website. It does not replace informed consent, treatment agreements, telehealth consent, financial policies, or other patient-specific clinical documents.
This Legal Notice applies to the website operated by Ground & Growth PLLC ("Ground & Growth, " "we," "us," or "our") at gandgintegrativepsychiatry.com and to public-facing content, resources, contact forms, scheduling links, and related website functionality. By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge this Legal Notice and agree to use the website in accordance with applicable law and our governing policies.
This Legal Notice should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. Those documents are incorporated by reference where applicable. If a patient-specific agreement or consent form governs a clinical matter, that patient-specific document controls for that matter to the extent required by law.
1. Practice Identity and Professional Services
Ground & Growth PLLC is an integrative psychiatric care practice based in Boston, Massachusetts. The practice provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and other clinically appropriate integrative psychiatric services through appropriately licensed professionals.
Stephanie Etienne, PMHNP-BC, is the Founder and CEO of Ground & Growth PLLC and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and prescriber. References on this website to psychiatric care, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, or related clinical services refer to services provided within the scope of applicable professional licensure and clinical judgment.
Ground & Growth PLLC is located at 185 Devonshire Street, Suite 501, Boston, MA 02110, and may provide telehealth services to eligible patients located in Massachusetts when legally and clinically appropriate.
2. Website Purpose; No Medical Advice
The public website is intended to provide general information about Ground & Growth, its philosophy of care, services, educational resources, availability, and ways to contact or schedule with the practice.
Website content is general educational and informational material. It is not individualized medical or psychiatric advice diagnosis, treatment, prescribing guidance, or a substitute for an evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional.
Do not start, stop, increase, decrease, or otherwise change any medication or treatment solely because of information found on this website. Do not delay obtaining professional care because of website content. Clinical recommendations are made only after an appropriate individualized assessment.
3. No Provider-Patient Relationship From Website Use
Viewing this website, reading educational content, submitting a general contact form, sending an email, requesting an appointment, or using a scheduling link does not by itself establish a provider-patient relationship with Ground & Growth or any clinician affiliated with the practice.
A provider-patient relationship is established only after Ground & Growth accepts an individual for care and the required intake, consent, clinical, administrative, and payment processes have been completed. Ground & Growth may determine that its services are not clinically appropriate for a prospective patient and may recommend another level or type of care when appropriate.
4. Emergencies and Crisis Care
The website, website contact forms, ordinary email, voicemail, and routine portal communications are not emergency services and should not be used for urgent or life-threatening situations.
If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, believe you may harm yourself or someone else, or believe another person is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For suicide or mental-health crisis support in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Do not wait for a response from Ground & Growth through the website, email, voicemail, or patient portal if immediate assistance is required.
5. Licensure, Service Area, and Telehealth
Clinical services are provided only when the treating professional is appropriately licensed or otherwise legally authorized to provide the service and when Ground & Growth determines that care can be delivered safely and appropriately.
For telehealth visits, the patient may be required to confirm identity, current physical location, contact information, and an emergency contact at the beginning of a session. Telehealth may not be appropriate in every circumstance, and Ground & Growth may recommend in-person evaluation, emergency care, or another provider or service when clinically indicated.
Information on this website is not an offer to provide professional services in every state, country, or jurisdiction. Availability may depend on the patient’s location at the time of service, licensure rules, payer requirements, clinical appropriateness, and other applicable laws.
6. Privacy, Confidentiality, and HIPAA
Ground & Growth is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of patient information. Information created or received in connection with clinical care may be protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Massachusetts law, and other applicable federal and state privacy requirements.
The public website Privacy Policy explains how information associated with website use may be collected, used, and disclosed. Clinical protected health information may also be governed by Ground & Growth’s Notice of Privacy Practices and other patient-facing privacy documents.
A public website inquiry is not the same as communication through a secure clinical channel. Unless specifically directed otherwise, do not use a public website form, ordinary email, or social media to transmit highly sensitive medical information, psychiatric history, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or other information that should be communicated through a designated secure system.
7. Electronic Communications and Patient Portal
Electronic communications can involve privacy and security risks. Email, text messaging, website forms, and similar technologies may not always be encrypted or secure in transit. By voluntarily using such methods to contact Ground & Growth, you acknowledge the ordinary risks associated with electronic communication.
Existing patients should use the secure communication methods designated by the practice for clinical matters whenever instructed to do so. Do not use electronic communications for emergencies.
Ground & Growth may use third-party platforms for scheduling, intake, patient portals, telehealth, payment processing, insurance administration, or communications. Those services may have their own privacy notices and terms. Use of a third-party platform may be subject to the terms and privacy practices of that platform in addition to Ground & Growth policies.
8. Appointments, Scheduling, Cancellations, and No-Shows
Appointment availability shown online is subject to change and does not guarantee acceptance as a patient or clinical suitability for a particular service.
Scheduling, cancellation, rescheduling, late-cancellation, and no-show requirements are governed by the policies communicated during intake or otherwise provided to patients. A patient’s signed financial or practice policy controls where it addresses a specific appointment-related obligation.
Ground & Growth may modify scheduling procedures, hours, availability, service formats, and appointment types as necessary.
9. Fees, Insurance, and Financial Responsibility
Any fees, insurance participation information, or pricing displayed on the website is for general informational purpose and may change. Acceptance of an insurance plan does not guarantee coverage, eligibility, authorization, payment, or reimbursement for any particular service.
Patients are responsible for understanding their individual health-plan benefits, exclusions, deductibles, copayments coinsurance, referral requirements, authorization requirements, and other financial obligations. Benefit verification, if provided, is a courtesy and is not a guarantee of payment.
Patient financial responsibility is governed by applicable law, payer contracts, and the financial policies or agreements provided to the patient.
10. Prescribing and Controlled Medications
Information on this website about psychiatric conditions, ADHD, medication management, or treatment options does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed, continued, changed, or discontinued.
All prescribing decisions are made through independent professional judgment based on the individual patient’s history, diagnosis, symptoms, risks, benefits, prior treatment, physical health, applicable law, and accepted clinical standards.
Ground & Growth does not guarantee that any particular medication, including a controlled substance, will be prescribed. The website and general communication channels should not be used for emergency refill requests or urgent medication changes.
11. Educational Content, Blogs, and Health Information
Articles, blog posts, educational resources, videos, handouts, social-media content, and other materials published by Ground & Growth are intended for general educational purposes. They do not establish a standard of care, create a treatment recommendation for a particular person, or replace individualized clinical evaluation.
Medical knowledge, regulations, professional guidance, and standards of care evolve. Ground & Growth may update educational content but does not warrant that every public resource will reflect the most recent development at all times.
12. Clinical Outcomes and Results
Psychiatric treatment is individualized, and outcomes vary. Ground & Growth does not guarantee a particular diagnosis, medication response, symptom reduction, recovery timeline, academic or occupational outcome, or other clinical result.
Statements describing potential benefits of care are not promises or guarantees. Decisions regarding care should be made collaboratively within an appropriate provider-patient relationship.
13. Referrals, Collaborative Care, and Third-Party Providers
Ground & Growth may recommend or refer patients to therapists, psychologists, physicians, assessment providers, hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, schools, community resources, or other independent professionals or organizations when clinically appropriate.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a referral or external link does not mean that Ground & Growth owns, controls, guarantees, or assumes responsibility for the services, conduct, availability, privacy practices, billing practices, or clinical decisions of an independent third party.
Patients remain responsible for determining whether an outside provider participates with their insurance and whether the provider’s services meet their needs.
14. Third-Party Websites, Links, and Technology
The website may contain links to scheduling services, patient portals, payment processors, insurers, emergency resources, social-media platforms, or other external websites. These links are provided for convenience or informational purposes.
Ground & Growth does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, terms, products, or services. A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement or a formal affiliation unless expressly stated. The website may use hosting, analytics, security, anti-spam, accessibility, or other website technologies supplied by third parties. Their processing of information may also be governed by their own policies and applicable law.
15. Cookies, Analytics, and Website Technologies
The website may use cookies, pixels, analytics, security tools, or similar technologies that support site functionality, performance measurement, fraud prevention, accessibility, or user experience. Information about such technologies and available choices should be reviewed in the Privacy Policy and any cookie or consent controls made available on the website.
Ground & Growth does not intend for public website analytics or advertising tools to be used as a substitute for secure clinical systems or to collect information that should be communicated only in a protected clinical environment.
16. Testimonials, Reviews, and Patient Experiences
Any testimonial, review, rating, or description of an individual experience reflects the views or experience of the person providing it. Individual results vary, and testimonials do not guarantee that another patient will have the same experience or outcome.
Ground & Growth will not condition treatment on providing a positive review. Any use or disclosure of identifiable patient information by Ground & Growth for marketing or testimonial purposes will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and authorization requirements.
17. Professional Titles and Website Descriptions
Professional titles, credentials, and scope-of-practice descriptions on the website are intended to identify the qualifications and role of the applicable clinician accurately. Nothing on the website should be interpreted as representing a credential, specialty designation, board certification, or professional status that is not actually held.
Ground & Growth may update professional biographies and service descriptions as credentials, staffing, licensure, services, or professional roles change.
18. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, original website text, graphics, logos, branding, photographs, educational materials, downloads, design elements, and other content are owned by or licensed to Ground & Growth PLLC and may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
You may view and use public website content for personal, noncommercial informational purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, scrape, systematically download, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit protected content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
19. Acceptable Use and Website Security
You may not use the website to violate law, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent appointment requests, interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, scrape or harvest personal information, bypass security measures, or infringe the rights of Ground & Growth or another person.
Ground & Growth may restrict access to website functionality, block abusive activity, or take other reasonable protective measures when misuse, security threats, fraud, or unlawful activity are suspected.
20. Accessibility
Ground & Growth seeks to make its public website reasonably accessible and usable. If you experience difficulty accessing website content or require assistance obtaining information in another format, contact Ground & Growth using the information at the end of this Legal Notice.
Website accessibility features do not replace reasonable accommodations that may be appropriate in connection with clinical services. Patients may contact the practice regarding accommodation needs related to care.
21. Minors and Age-Related Limitations
The website may be viewed by the public, but the availability of clinical services to a minor depends on Ground & Growth’s scope of practice, clinical appropriateness, consent requirements, applicable law, and practice policy.
Nothing on the website should be interpreted as creating a right to treatment for a minor or as replacing legally required parental, guardian, or minor consent procedures where applicable.
22. Website Accuracy, Availability, and Changes
Ground & Growth endeavors to maintain useful and accurate website information but does not guarantee that public website content will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Services, fees, payer participation, appointment availability, hours, policies, personnel, third-party links, and website functionality may change without prior notice. Ground & Growth may modify, suspend, remove, or discontinue website content or functionality at any time.
23. Website Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the public website and nonclinical website content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Ground & Growth does not make warranties regarding uninterrupted availability, suitability for a particular purpose, or the completeness or accuracy of general website content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ground & Growth is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising solely from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the public website or general website content.
This website limitation does not waive or limit professional duties, patient rights, healthcare liability, privacy obligations, or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be waived, disclaimed, or limited. Clinical care is governed by applicable law, professional standards, and patient-specific agreements.
24. Relationship to Privacy Policy, Terms, and Patient Agreements
This Legal Notice supplements the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. It does not replace clinical consent forms, treatment agreements, telehealth consent, medication or controlled-substance agreements, financial policies, authorizations for release of information, notices of privacy practices, or other patient-specific documents.
Where a patient-specific signed agreement addresses a clinical, privacy, financial, or operational matter, that agreement and applicable law govern that matter. Where the public website is concerned, this Legal Notice, the Privacy Policy, and the Terms and Conditions should be read together.
25. Governing Law
This Legal Notice and issues arising solely from use of the public website are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, except where federal law or another controlling law applies.
If any provision of this Legal Notice is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
26. Updates to This Legal Notice
Ground & Growth may revise this Legal Notice as its services, website technologies, policies, legal obligations, or business operations evolve. The current version will be posted on the website with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of the website after an updated Legal Notice is posted constitutes acknowledgment of the revised notice to the extent permitted by applicable law.
